Fishing Highlight Reports
DECEMBER 2020
At the start of the month, the Dorado were around in droves. The bite slowed during mid-December and then came back with a vengeance to close out 2020. The average size was the usual XXL. As always, guests wrestled a love/hate relationship with the aggressive Dorado bite – even though catching MASSIVE Dorado is a lot of fun, the sheer quantity tends to take away from Marlin time.
NOVEMBER 2020
Blue Marlin and Black Marlin were raised in great numbers over the past week and boats flew flags daily. The Sailfish were aggressive which is strange for this time of year. However, the weather was also strange so this may have had something to do with it. We still experienced swarms of over-sized Dorado keeping everyone entertained between billfish bites.
MaRCH 2020
Black Marlin started to make a much bigger showing this week and the Blue Marlin were right there with them. The bite was still not very aggressive but the numbers proved that the crews were working hard and got results. Sailfish were a bit scarce and the Dorado numbers decreased slightly. Boats, however, managed to release Sails and brought back loads of Dorado for the chef.

Big female Black Marlin are very high on the bucket list among billfish anglers and in the first few days of 2020 we exchanged the tales of our anglers fighting and releasing these monsters. The billfish bite kept us on our toes. In the beginning of the year, we experienced good numbers of Marlin and Sailfish raised each day.
